Jackie van Roosmalen

I am a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist registered with the Association of Child Psychotherapists.

I trained from 1996-2006 at the Society of Analytical Psychology and this included Infant Observation and out-patient clinic based practice with infants, children, adolescents and their parents.

Since qualifying in 2006 I have been in active clinical practice, in CAMHS until 2014 and thereafter in private practice

I offer brief and open-ended psychodynamic psychotherapy to children and adolescents of all ages and am especially interested in joint parent/child psychotherapy.

I also work with parents where there are relationship difficulties with their children or other concerns about their children.

I have nearly 20 years experience of working as part of multi-disciplinary teams in in-patient and out-patient mental health services for young people.

I integrate Energy Psychology techniques and Mindfulness Meditation in my work

My experience includes work around deliberate self harm, depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement, complex and developmental trauma, specific trauma, parenting issues, relationship difficulties, non-organic somatic illness, post natal depression, borderline personality disorder and somatisation.
